The West Orange Chamber of Commerce has announced the hiring of Carrie Acosta as its new executive assistant and office manager. Acosta became a Realtor in 2013; throughout her career, she has developed a deep understanding of Central Florida and built a strong network within her community.

“Seeking to utilize my background, experience and knowledge of the communities in and around West Orange County, I felt that this role — and the opportunity to work with businesses that make it a great place to live — was a natural fit,” Acosta said. “I look forward to leveraging my skillset in business relations and community engagement to support the chamber's initiatives and contribute to the continued growth and prosperity of the chamber and our vibrant community.”

In Acosta’s role, she will contribute to the growth and success of the West Orange Chamber by working closely with the president/CEO with regard to the governance of the organization to the board of directors, trustees and members. She also will be responsible for ensuring efficient operation and maintenance of the office, building and grounds of the chamber.

Acosta has lived in Apopka for 25 years with her husband and three children. In her free time, she enjoys cycling on the West Orange Trail and visiting the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive with her family.
