Five Republican candidates are vying for votes in the race for Florida State Representative District 45. Their names likely are already familiar to you: Carolina Amesty, Vennia Francois, Janet Frevola, Bruno Portigliatti and Mike Zhao. The winner of the Aug. 23 primary will face Democrat Allie Braswell — who has no primary opponent — in the Nov. 8 general election.
