The Oakland Nature Preserve is asking locals for wine donations.

The nature center is asking residents to donate their unopened and unwanted bottles of wine that may be left over from the holidays.

The donated wine will help fuel the center's upcoming "Pours at the Preserve" event.

The Pours at the Preserve event invites locals to walk a lighted half-mile trail while enjoying refreshments at the five tables stationed along the paths while tasting a variety of wines and beers.

The event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 12, at 5:30 p.m.

Donations can be left with staff members at the center's office.

For more information on the upcoming event, visit the Oakland Nature Preserve website.
