OCPS to host magnet fair

Orange County Public Schools looking to provide families with more information on the magnet programs in local schools.

The district’s High School Magnet Fair will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, at the gymnasium at Jones High School; 801 Rio Grande Av., Orlando. The event will highlight 23 different magnet programs currently available to students. The application window to apply for magnet schools runs from Nov. 1, 2019 to Feb. 15, 2020.

Spotlight magnet programs include Maxey Elementary’s Visual and Performing Arts program, Lakeview Middle School’s World Language Academy and Edgewater High School’s Center for Future Educators. OCPS offers 44 magnet school choices across all grade levels.
