Orange County Sheriff's Office needs crossing guards

In West Orange, the most critical needs are in Horizon West and Dr. Phillips.

With the start of the 2022-23 school year two weeks away, the Orange County Sheriff's Office is still searching for school crossing guards.

In West Orange, the most critical needs are in Horizon West and Dr. Phillips. Other areas of need include the Hunters Creek, Meadow Woods, Millennia/Oak Ridge and South International Drive areas.

OCSO's crossing guards work one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon. The hourly pay is $16.16 for the upcoming school year. All training and safety equipment is provided.

Priority will be given to applicants in areas with open vacancies.
