The Windermere Police Department Foundation is hosting its first ever Summertime Bash.
The free event will include craft beer, food trucks, live music, bubbles, face painting and bounce houses.
After a two year hiatus, the foundation is bringing back the annual officer Robbie German memorial event with the commencement of the first bash.
The Heinz Group, Windermere Brewing Company, Tim’s Wine Market and more will join the WPDF for the event.
The WPDF was established in the wake of the tragic loss of German on March 22, 2014. The foundation seeks innovative ways to improve the quality of life of the citizens served by the Windermere Police Department and the Central Florida community, through advancements in safety and crime reduction, all with the continued goal of enhancing services within the area.
The town is still seeking volunteers, age 21 and up, to help at the craft beer and entrance tents. Those interested can reach out to Diane Edwards for more information at [email protected].
The Summertime Bash will kick off at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, at Town Square Park in Windermere at 520 Main St.
