Matthew’s Hope hosted a Christmas-themed carnival for its homeless families Saturday afternoon and opened up the event to the entire community. Churches and businesses set up 34 booths, and participants could play ring toss, throw darts at balloons, color pictures, hunt for goodies in the hay, eat snacks and barbecue and visit with Santa Claus.
Attendees enjoyed Uncle Buck’s BBQ, and the children enjoyed walking through Santa’s toy shop and sitting on his lap.
