Babies and books on board at Health Central

Orange County’s newest residents get a head start on learning their ABCs, thanks to The West Orange Times’ literacy initiative program, Reading Reindeer, and Health Central Hospital.

The Times has continued the program since 1999 in partnership with Health Central to promote excellence in literacy within West Orange County. Together they hope to cultivate a love for reading among children in the community. Each newborn at the hospital is given a brand-new copy of “Dr. Seuss’s ABC,” encouraging parents to continue this literacy initiative as each child grows up.
