Sounds Like Chicken A Cappella Rehearsal — 6:30 to 8 p.m. Fridays in the choir room at First United Methodist Church, 125 N. Lakeview Ave., Winter Garden. Sounds Like Chicken is a community based, all-male singing group looking for more tenors and basses. The group sings anything from contemporary a cappella to barbershop, choral music, folk and more. Kings Ridge Royal Showcase — 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 18, in the Kings Ridge Ballroom, 1900 Kings Ridge Blvd., Clermont. The showcase will feature musician Donnie Abraham. Abraham has appeared on stage with The Lettermen, Pat Boone and the Oak Ridge Boys and has been compared to Dean Martin, Tom Jones and Barry Manilow. Asante Children’s Choir Concert — 7 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at Camp Ithiel, 2037 Hempel Ave., Gotha. The 22 children in the group are mostly orphans from Rwanda, Uganda and Bunundi.
