+ Winter Garden Masonic Lodge
Worshipful Master Frank Lopez presented W.B. Phillip Edwin Moffses with his 50-year service award, including a lapel pin and certificate from The Grand Lodge of Florida F&AM.
Moffses has had an active Masonic career. He joined the craft in 1965 and served as Worshipful Master on two occasions at Robert B Shugart Lodge No. 393 (now defunct) in 2000 and 2004 and was the treasurer of that lodge for several years.
Moffses has also been active in many appendant bodies, including Scottish and York Rites, DeMolay and Grotto.
+ Rotary Club of Winter Garden
Winter Garden Rotary Club welcomes its two newest members — Joshua G. Schenker and TJ Crowe.
Schenker is a financial professional from Windermere. He has twin 15-month-olds, a boy and a girl.
Crowe is a team leader for Ginther’s Ice Cream, as well as the business’ community liaison.
He is a recent graduate of Webber International University and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management.
The Rotary Club of Winter Garden meets at noon Tuesdays at Tanner Hall in Winter Garden, 29 W. Garden Ave.

+ American Legion, Hugh T. Gregory Post 63
Winter Garden American Legion, Hugh T. Gregory Post 63, in conjunction with Florida’s Blood Centers, will conduct a blood drive from 2 to 7 p.m. Aug. 26. The blood donor van will be in front of the post, 271 W. Plant St., Winter Garden.
Each pint of blood donated equals three lives saved. Donors receive free movie vouchers. The post will be open with drinks, fruits and pastries available.

+ Rotary Club of Dr. Phillips
The Rotary Club of Dr. Phillips will host the ninth annual “A Taste of Dr. Phillips” from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at the Dellagio Town Center, 7924 Via Dellagio Way, Orlando.
Food and wine aficionados from across Central Florida can enjoy unlimited samples from more than 20 Dr. Phillips-area restaurants.
This year’s new wine sponsor will be Coopers Hawk Winery & Restaurant.
A highlight again this year will be a silent auction at which guests will be able to bid on multitude of items donated by sponsors and local businesses. All proceeds from the 2015 Taste of Dr. Phillips will benefit local charities.

Pastfinders’ help sessions are beginning in September. Bring questions, show members old photos and challenge us with your brick walls.
Sessions will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 1, 15 and 22; and 9:30 a.m. to noon Thursdays, Sept. 3, 17 and 24. The group also offers classes about basic forms at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, and advanced forms at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16. A computer group will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16.
