Fundraiser for Julianna Goldberg on Wednesday

Jules Goldberg, 9, has maintained her sweet smile throughout her cancer fight. She is one of five children of Avery and Kim Goldberg, of Windermere.

A fundraiser will be held Wednesday, Aug. 19, at three Windermere-area businesses to support a 9-year-old’s fight against Stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The event is in The Grove shopping complex at the corner of Conroy-Windermere and Apopka-Vineland roads.

Julianna “Jules” Goldberg and her parents, Kim and Avery Goldberg, have learned that she has cancer of the lymphatic system and that it is in her neck, near her lungs and under her liver. She is a student at Windermere Elementary School.

The community has rallied around Jules, and Burger Fi, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice and Mimi’s Boutique are offering a percentage of Wednesday’s proceeds to the family’s cancer fund. Visit these businesses from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and mention Julestrong.
