Santa Claus had a special conversation with every child who sat on his lap Saturday at the Matthew's Hope Christmas Carnival.

Santa arrives!
Santa Claus is led by a group of eager children.
Matthew's Hope hosted a fun afternoon of games, rides and food for the families served by the homeless ministry, as well as children in the community, Saturday, Dec. 12. A bounce house, train rides, carnival games, lunch provided by Uncle Buck's BBQ and visits with Santa Claus were all part of the annual event.
Children were able to make a wish list of toys and games that were set up near Santa's chair before sharing their list with him.
Scott Billue, Matthew's Hope founder, said some of the guests served by the ministry, have donated their earned points — which are used to buy items like extra food, shoes and tents — to provide Christmas to two siblings who are being raised by their grandmother.
