ORLANDO — The West Orange Warriors fell to the Boone Braves 59-51 in the first round of playoffs on Thursday night.
The Warriors lost an early lead in the second quarter and could not recover. Overall, head coach Eric Jones was disappointed with the team’s performance.
“[I was] a little disappointed with the slow start," Jones said. "We only had 12 points at half time and that was very disappointing."
Keeping the lead, Boone put another 30 points on the board before the final buzzer.
Picking up steam after the holidays, making it to the playoffs was a victory for the Warriors that was cut short.
“I’m disappointed by the outcome, but I’d still take these guys anywhere,” Jones said. “They fought hard, I wish it would’ve been a better outcome than it was.”
Accounting for 23 points for the Warriors was Christian Colon, followed by DeCary Croaker with 10 points.
