Artists got creative with their assignment in the current Art in Public Places exhibit at Winter Garden City Hall. The theme is "Life on the Trail," and photographers and painters showed many sides of the recreational path in West Orange County. The exhibit includes more than 25 pieces in various mediums and processes that portray everyday life on the West Orange Trail, from biking and running to scenery and sunsets by the trail.
The city held a meet-and-greet for the artists and residents Thursday, Feb. 26, and many of the creators were there to talk about their work.
Exhibit participants are Iris T. Mora (acrylic), Barbara K. Stanczak (photography), Debra Vineyard (cut-up men’s ties), Barbara Phelps Hart (acrylic, gouache and acrylic), Anna Cary (photography), Jim Orme (photography), Ulysses Mora (acrylic on canvas), Ana Aguel (watercolor), Catherine Hempel (oil), Kimberly Beltrame (oil on canvas), Noreen Coup (original palette knife) and Jay Kleinrichert (photography).
This AIPP exhibit will remain on display until April 17.
