The Florida High School Athletic Association finalized its new districts for high school football for 2015 through 2018 last week.
The FHSAA had released an initial proposal for the new districts, redrawn every four years to nurture competitive balance and account for changing student body populations, back in mid-December. Schools were given a time period to appeal their placement and last week's updated version is to be final.
Five of the eight high schools covered by the West OrangeTimes & Observer play in district competition and all five experienced some sort of change between their now current district and the district in which they played in 2014.
