Dominant Dr. Phillips boys lacrosse team continues winning ways

DR. PHILLIPS — The Dr. Phillips boys lacrosse team notched a dominating District 13 win over Freedom on Wednesday, 23-0.

Ian Decker led the Panthers (7-5) with 5 goals and 4 assists to pair with Mike Berkman's 4 goals and 6 assists.

Dr. Phillips, which at one point this season was 1-4, has now won six of its past seven games — with its sole loss during that stretch a 10-9 defeat at the hands of Seminole — and is one of the hottest teams in the area.

"We just came together as a team — honestly, they started to click,"  head coach Charlie Battaglini said. "We've played some pretty top-tier talent and we've hung with everybody."
