OCOEE — After falling behind early, 2-0, the Olympia Titans softball team broke out its bats for a seven-run top of the fourth and a six-run top of the fifth, propelling the Titans (8-3) to a 13-3 win in five innings on Friday.
Elizabeth Drivas doubled in Olympia's first two runs to spark the rally and Gabby Orland got the win on the mound for the Titans, who also improved to 3-2 in district competition after the slow start Friday afternoon.
"They pretty much just kind of shifted gears; the captain did a little talking to the girls and I just think they wanted it badly and started to hit the ball," Olympia coach Stephanie Manny said. "We've been telling them time and time again, 'if we hit the ball, we can make things happen.'"
Ocoee fell to 7-7 with the loss and is 1-4 in district competition.
