Children welcomed the fall season during a special program for pre-schoolers Friday, Oct. 2, at West Oaks Branch Library.
A library employee read autumn-themed books out loud, through which children learned how certain animals get ready for winter during the fall up north. During a math-related activity, children counted apples on a tree as the wind blew them down. The most popular game was a giant pumpkin ring toss. The program ended with a paper turkey craft.
The next seasonal-themed program at West Oaks Branch for children in this age group will focus on not-so-scary monsters, at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16.
