GALLERY: Community Family Dance at the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation

WINTER GARDEN—The Winter Garden Heritage Foundation History Center at 21 East Plant St. held a historic American family dance on Oct. 3. Children ages 6-12 were invited to bring their parents and try the community dance.

The children and their parents learned how to dance to songs such as the Arkansas Traveler, as well as moves like the promenade.

Peggy Everett taught the class. Everett teaches violin and other music lessons with the assistance of her husband Earl. They call their home-based business Fiddle Works.

The next class will be held 5-6 p.m. Nov. 14 at the center.
