OCOEE Coming off of a tough loss to the Poinciana Eagles 6-5 in eight innings March 30, the Ocoee Knights (11-10) bounced back with a 6-3 win over the Wekiva Mustangs (2-16) March 31.
Quinn Koller gave his second consecutive strong start on the mound—this time getting the win and pitching six strong innings while giving up three runs (one earned).
Hunter Garver came in to pitch the seventh inning and successfully earned the save.
Dylon Romano led the way at the plate for Ocoee, going 3-for-3 and driving in two runs on a double with two outs in the fourth inning that put Ocoee’s lead out of reach for good at 5-2.
The win put Ocoee back above .500. The Knights will return to action April 5 as they host the Evans Trojans on Senior Night. The Knights will then go on the road April 7 to face the Edgewater Eagles.
