Windermere Preparatory School students are following the yellow brick road to the Garden Theatre, where they will perform three performances of “The Wizard of Oz.” The performance includes the number “The Jitterbug,” which was cut from the movie.
The musical tells the story of Dorothy and her dog Toto who get caught up in a tornado, which leads them from their home state of Kansas to the mysterious world of Oz. During their journey to get back home, they make friends and enemies who teach them there’s no place like home.
You can join Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow and the Lion on their way to see the Wizard 7 p.m., Friday, April 8; 2 p.m., Saturday, April 9; and 2 p.m., Sunday, April 10 at the Garden Theatre, 160 W. Plant St., Winter Garden
Tickets will be sold at the box office, and it is recommended that you come 20-30 minutes before the show to purchase tickets. Adults $15; Students $5.
