WINTER GARDEN The West Orange girls flag football team broke open a scoreless game in the second half to post a 12-0 victory over rival Ocoee April 11.
After both teams struggled to get into a rhythm on offense in the first half, with each side turning it over several times, it was the Warriors (4-4) who struck first in the third quarter on a touchdown pass from Danine Cruz to Kaitlyn Wright.
Later, in the fourth quarter, Shermyra Harp scored on a rushing touchdown to put West Orange up 12-0, the eventual final score.
