Four months ago, workers began construction on 64.1 acres of land along Winter Garden-Vineland Road. Now, those passing by on the road can clearly see the high school that is coming up.
The high school, which will open for the 2017-18 school year, is intended to relieve overcrowding at West Orange High School.
The school buildings will take up 340,000 square feet, with 200,000 square feet of those buildings dedicated to classroom space. Additionally, the campus include softball, baseball and soccer fields, as well as a track and a practice football field.
