The Olympia boys soccer team is off to another strong start this winter, with a record of 5-0-3. Helping to lead the way for this veteran team is senior Daniel Araujo. In addition to a pair of goals and a pair of assists already, Araujo has been a steadying force for the Titans as they pursue a district championship and another berth in the state playoffs.
I think we’re in pretty good standing, we’ve just got some kinks to work out. I think the team is doing pretty good. We obviously have some big games coming up.
I have to say the Winter Park game. The first half was really good — we were up 3-0. We were dominating the game. Even the second half, we had a chance to win it, but we were unlucky then.
I think last year we did pretty good, but the problem last year was we just broke down at the end of the game. We weren’t mentally strong enough. This year, we have just got to be more focused and be more determined. Make sure we come out and do our best and, if at the end of the day we don’t win, I’ll be fine with just our best.
It’s a team in Brazil, called Botafogo. Besides that, FC Barelona.
I really like to watch basketball, I feel it’s a really good sport. There’s a lot of really athletic and gifted people that play. I’m amazed by it.
I would say the group of friends that you have that you carried from freshman year all the way and I still have.
My AP Physics class, is really intense. You have to really look at stuff from a different perspective. You’ve got to get your head out of the box and look at the whole thing.
Spending time with family. I’m a big family person. That’s why I want to stay somewhere in state for college, because I like being close to my family.
