Pulte to open Ocoee project
Pulte Homes plans to open Crown Pointe Cove, a new single-family home community in Ocoee, this spring.

 Lyndsey Patterson, director of marketing for Pulte Homes in North Florida, said Crown Pointe Cove is an intimate enclave of just 44 home sites for new, three- to six-bedroom single-family homes, priced from the mid-$200,000s. 

 New one- and two-story Pulte homes at Crown Pointe Cove will range from 2,162 to 3,172 square feet, with flex rooms and owner’s retreats among the special features of these floor plans. 

Patterson said the gated community — located off West and Ocoee Apopka roads — is less than one mile from State Road 429 and near outdoor recreation areas, Ocoee High School and Winter Garden Village.

Singh opens satellite offices
Orange County Property Appraiser Rick Singh has opened satellite offices to help homeowners file their Homestead Exemption paperwork.

In West Orange, offices are available at the following times and locations: 1 to 7 p.m. Jan. 26 and 27, at Windermere Library, 530 Main St., Windermere; 1 to 7 p.m. Feb. 1 and 2, at Winter Garden City Hall, 300 W. Plant St., Winter Garden; and 1 to 7 p.m. Feb. 15 and 16, at Southwest Library, 7255 Della Drive, Orlando.

Association names president
Windermere resident John Lazenby, of Colony Realty Group Inc., will be named president of the Orlando Regional Realtor Association during an installation ceremony Feb. 8 at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort.

Other new officers for 2016 include President-elect Bruce Elliott, of Regal Real Estate Professionals LLC; Treasurer Louis Nimkoff, of Brio Real Estate Services LLC; and Secretary Lisa Ford, of Charles Rutenberg Realty.

 The organization also will present awards, including Realtor of the Year, Chairman of the Year, Grant Clarke Volunteer, Rising Star of the Year, Affiliate Member of the Year and Association Educator of the Year.

Oakland Park adds builder
Custom homebuilder RCB Homes has been added to Oakland Park’s roster of builders.

The Winter Garden-based company will start construction on its model home in the next few weeks, and it is expected to be complete by summer 2016.

The model, priced at more than $650,000, is planned to be a two-story, 3,400-square-foot craftsman-style home with four bedrooms, three-and-one-half baths and a three-car garage.

 Oakland Park is seeing a demand for custom homes in the community. Of the 150 homes built there so far, 20% have been custom-built.

“Our team selected RCB Homes as a custom builder in Oakland Park because of its local presence, focus on quality, and experience in the Orlando area,” said Thom Cunningham, vice president with Crescent Communities, the developer of Oakland Park. “We like the way they design and build interior spaces that are extremely livable.”

RCB will be Oakland Park’s third custom builder, joining J&J Building and Vintage Estate Homes.

Park Square earns recognition 
Central Florida homebuilder Park Square Homes has been named a finalist in the National Association of Home Builders annual National Sales and Marketing Awards for best design center.

The competition largest in the nation for new-home sales and marketing professionals and communities. Park Square Homes was one of five homebuilders to receive the Silver Award for best design center, competing with more than 1,300 submissions across the country. It was the only homebuilder in the state recognized in this category.

“We are honored to receive recognition from the National Association of Home Builders for our design studio,” CEO Suresh Gupta said. “We were able to create a design studio that inspires our staff and provides a pleasant experience for our buyers.”

Park Square Homes will compete against the four other Silver Award-winning companies for the Gold Award at the NAHB’s annual International Builders’ Show in January.
