Ocoee High school graduated roughly 450 students in its 11th annual commencement ceremonies at 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, at the University of Central Florida Arena, in Orlando.
Principal Bill Floyd told the students, “A part of us will live on in you. … You will always be my kids.”
Valedictorian Alyson Fan spoke, reminding classmates, “Just as the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, we are the powerhouse of the future.”
Salutatorian Chandler Barton and Student Council President Natalie Droke also gave short speeches.
Excalibur performed, and then it was time to hand out the diplomas.
