3 ways to enjoy a movie this summer

Summertime are the perfect time to take in a movie. If you’re on a budget, some local summer offerings can give an affordable way to enjoy your favorite flicks. 

Ocoee summer movies in the park

Bill Breeze Park, 125 N. Lakeshore Drive, Ocoee

The city of Ocoee hosts two more free movie showings this weekend. 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 15 is the showing of Kung Fu Panda 3 and 8:30 p.m. Friday, August 19 is Zootopia.  All movies are free. Food trucks will be on site and tours of the Withers-Maguire House will take place from 6-7:30 p.m.

West Orange 5 summer kids shows

1575 Maguire Road, Ocoee

For $1.50 per person, you can take in some new animated children’s movies such as Shaun the Sheep, Minions and Peanuts. Movies are held 10 a.m. Wednesdays. For more information, visit bit.ly/1XZpGNr.

Garden Theatre Summer Movie Series

160 W. Plant St., Winter Garden

The Garden Theatre is home to Thursday Vintage favorites and Friday cult classics. Visit http://www.gardentheatre.org/gpost/summer-movie-series/ to learn about what movies will be played and purchase tickets. Individual tickets are $6 and summer movie passes are $30. Don’t forget to wear your themed attire.
