Just because it’s a hot summer day doesn’t mean you have a full wallet, or that you are able to pack up the family and take a vacation to somewhere exotic.

Summer, especially summer in Florida, is known for its scalding temperatures. Sometimes you just want to cool off. But what if you don’t have a pool? West Orange has several options for you to take a dip.

Here are four summer ideas on the cheap — right in your backyard.

Winter Garden Splash Pad, 104 S. Lakeview Ave., Winter Garden.

If you’ve ever driven along Plant Street, you’ve probably noticed the small fountains coming from the ground. It’s more than just a pretty scene, but rather a place for your kids to enjoy the cool water. Enjoy the weather and the sound of delight coming from the little ones.
