WINDERMERE The Central Florida Women’s League hosted its sixth annual Taste of Windermere event from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 5 at The Grove. Tickets were $75 in advance ($80 at the door) and proceeds benefitted local charities and scholarship funds. Hundreds of people attended the event, where 24 restaurants participated and handed out samples and small plates of various foods and wines.
Additionally, there was a raffle for $100 per ticket, and the two prizes were either $10,000 cash or a stay at one of two vacation homes in Turks & Caicos or Vail, Colorado. In the last 26 years, the League has raised and distributed more than $2 million to local charities and for student scholarships.
