DR. PHILLIPS The Olympia Titans matched their lowest run-output since Feb. 8 against rival Dr. Phillips March 5.
It didn't matter — mainly because Aaron Bogovic was on the hill.
Bogovic, who pitched a perfect game against Wekiva Feb. 26, allowed just three hits in 6 1/3 innings of work as the Titans (8-3) prevailed 2-0 over the Panthers (4-6). Will Harrison got the save.
Drenis Ozuna drove in Olympia's first run in the top of the third inning on an RBI-double, with Jonathan Levin homering in the Titans' next at-bat for the second run.
Chris Moore took the hill, and the loss, for Dr. Phillips. Moore allowed five hits in six innings of work, striking out seven.
Olympia will place a two-game series this week against district rival Lake Brantley (11-1, 3-1 district). The Titans will travel to take on the Patriots at 7 p.m. March 9 and then will host Lake Brantley at 4 p.m. March 11. Olympia is 2-0 in district play.
Dr. Phillips will play a district series against Freedom (4-7, 2-2 district). The Panthers will host the Patriots at 4 p.m. on Wednesday and will take to the road at 4 p.m. on Friday.
