Charles Peck, 59, of Sports Cars of Orlando, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 15, 2016, after battling cancer for 18 months. Born Sept. 12, 1956, in Elyria, Ohio, to the late Earl Peck and the late Lillian Borgard Peck, native of Winter Garden; maternal grandparents, Sam and Mabel Borgard, also of Winter Garden.
He attended Glendale High School and was owner of Jean Shack in Springfield, Missouri. A resident of Orlando for many years, Chuck was a patient, gentle man, rich with friends. Restoration of British sports cars to their original appearance and function was his business and his love. A longtime member of the MG Car Club and British Car Breakfast Club, he enjoyed spending time with others who shared the same passion of British sports cars.
Surviving are sisters, Barbara Remington, of Atlanta, Becky Rathmann, of St. Louis; brother, Jeff Peck, of Windermere; ex-wife, Tami Peck, Lake Mary. He was called Uncle Chuck by many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of his life, with family and friends, will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Newton Park Pavilion, 31 Garden Ave., Winter Garden, Florida. Donations may be made in Chuck’s memory to cancer.org.
