Windermere laces up for annual 5K

Runners of all ages will take over the town this weekend at the 15th annual Windermere Run Among the Lakes.

This year’s run will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at Town Hall, 520 Main St., Windermere. The 5K begins at 8 a.m., followed by the Kids Run at 9:15 a.m. and Awards Ceremony at 9:30 a.m. 

Jessy Lynn Martens will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “God Bless America” to start the event. She then will continue to perform on the Town Hall back porch throughout the event. 

All proceeds benefit the Windermere Parks and Recreation Department and its programs.
