Ocoee pool opens May 7 for summer swim

The City of Ocoee Parks and Recreation Department will open its Family Aquatic Center just in time to beat the summer heat.  Residents can make a splash in the pool beginning Saturday, May 7. The Family Aquatic Center is located at the Jim Beech Recreation Center at 1820 A.D. Mims Road.

The pool features a safe, zero-depth entry and a maximum depth of four feet. Pool admission is $1.50 for adults and $1 for children and seniors.

Group swim lessons for all ages (including infants who are at least 6 months old) will be offered June through August.  Water safety instructors certified by the American Red Cross will teach the swim classes. Residents may register for swim lessons May 14 and May 16-19. Open registration for residents and non-residents will be held May 21, May 23-26 and May 28. The pool will close for the season on October 2.
