PHOTOS: Ocoee, Dr. Phillips play in preseason hoops doubleheader -- Observer Preps

DR. PHILLIPS The Dr. Phillips boys basketball program hosted a preseason doubleheader Nov. 15, with Ocoee taking on Lake Mary in the early game and the Panthers hosting Bartow in the later game.

After trailing 23-17 at halftime, Ocoee outscored the Rams 31-21 in the second half to earn a 48-44 victory.

Meanwhile, despite a 30 points from junior guard Daniel Love, Dr. Phillips could not keep pace with a talented Bartow squad, falling 78-66.

The Panthers dressed only seven players for the preseason game, as four players — including standout wing Nick Smith and guard Je'Quan Burton — are unavailable until the Dr. Phillips football team concludes its season.
