OCOEE Konrie Brown and Corvondre Curate each ran for two touchdowns — with Curate passing for one more — to help lead the Ocoee Knights to their first victory of the fall in their district opener against Edgewater, 52-21.
Starting quarterback Jake Novello also threw a touchdown for the Knights (1-2, 1-0 district) to Dorian Jones before leaving the game with an undisclosed injury. Curate took snaps as quarterback in relief.
Brown's two rushing touchdowns give the junior standouts a total of five touchdowns in the past two games for the Knights.
On defense, Lyston Barber had an interception, forced a fumble and added two sacks.
Ocoee led 28-0 at halftime.
For Ocoee: The Knights will continue along in district play when they travel to East Ridge (2-1) for a Week Five matchup Sept. 23.
