PHOTOS: West Orange volleyball edges Olympia, 3-1 -- Observer Preps

WINTER GARDEN The West Orange Warriors held off a comeback attempt by the Olympia Titans in the fourth set of a non-district match Tuesday night to come away with a 3-1 victory (25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 25-20) in front of an energetic crowd.

The Warriors (12-2) were led by Makala Heidelberg's 17 kills, 13 digs and three aces. Bay Bumford added 47 assists and two aces.

The Titans (8-5) were led by Johnna Shamley's 17 kills and 18 digs along with 16 digs and 11 kills from Alex Polk.

Up next

For West Orange: The Warriors will host Jones on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. before traveling to Lake Mary (12-4) Thursday night.

For Olympia: The Titans will host Evans on Thursday before preparing for a televised home match Oct. 4 against The First Academy (17-2).
