ORLANDO Dozens of guests braved the chilly weather Saturday, Dec. 9, to attend the acclaimed, six-course James Beard Award Celebrity Chef Dinner. Held at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando’s Ravello restaurant, the dinner brought together top local chefs, who compiled a comprehensive and flavorful menu. Guests enjoyed dishes ranging from butternut squash tarts and charred octopus to chestnut cavatelli and nougat glace. The James Beard Foundation “celebrates, nurtures and honors America's diverse culinary heritage through programs that educate and inspire,” according to its website, and was founded in 1986 in memory of cookbook author and teacher James Beard.
