ORLANDO The Olympia High boys basketball team could not overcome a slow start in its opening round game at The City Beautiful Invitational at The First Academy Dec. 27.
The Titans trailed 28-11 at halftime and eventually fell to Ohio's Centerville High Elks (5-3) by a final score of 53-39.
Centerville's Matt Pearce led all scorers with 20 points and Olympia's Markel Hudson weighed in with 18 points for the Titans (5-6).
