Obituary: Carl Eugene Brown

Carl Eugene Brown, age 79, of Villa Rica, passed away, Friday, July 7, 2017. He was born Oct. 3, 1937 in Ocoee, Florida, the son of the late John William Brown and the late Nellie Mae Stiles Brown. Mr. Brown worked for Cobia Nursery for 18 years. He later retired from Adel Memorial Hospital after 15 years of service, where he did the landscaping and keeping of the grounds.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Brown, Jerry Brown and James Brown; and a grandchild, Kandi Murphy.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Martha Rhindress Brown, of Villa Rica; daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Jerry Garrett, of Villa Rica; sons, John Brown, of Villa Rica, Joey Brown, of Villa Rica; sister, Eva Black of Ocoee, Florida; grandchildren, Crystal and Jason Crawford, Cynthia and Christopher Duke; great-grandchildren, Kristynn Murphy, Mitchell McCain, Michael Grasso, Abbigail Murphy, Kaitlynn Duke, Kandi Duke, Hailey Duke, Kipton Crawford and Garrett Crawford; nephew, Butch and Maggie Coshignano of Ocoee, Florida. Several extended family members also survive.

Celebration of life will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017, at First Pentecostal Church of Villa Rica. The family has requested those desiring to send floral arrangements to please consider sending live rose bushes to represent his love of gardening and to create a living legacy to him.
