Obituary: John W. "Duck" Kemp

John W. "Duck" Kemp, 80, of Winter Garden, Florida, departed this life on Monday, July 3, 2017. Duck was born in Dublin, Georgia, on Nov. 7, 1936.

Duck was employed as a truck driver in the citrus industry for several years. John was a loving husband, father, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Kemp; sons, Johnny L., Willie D., Ray (Barbara), Marvin (Jackie), Keith and Kevin Kemp; three siblings; and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017, at St. Paul AME Church, Winter Garden. A service of celebration will be held at noon Saturday, July 15, at the church.

Postell’s Mortuary is providing service for the Kemp family.
