ORLANDO Justin Driscoll allowed just five hits and one run in six innings of work for the Freedom baseball team as the Patriots held off the visiting Dr. Phillips Panthers for a 2-1 victory March 8.
Dr. Phillips would load the bases in the top half of the seventh inning with just one out, but Frank Grimaldi was able to pitch his way out of the jam and get the save for Freedom (3-4-1).
Kevin Milanes drove in both runs for the Patriots.
The next day, on March 9, the Panthers (4-2) returned the favor on their home field with a 4-2 victory.
