OCOEE A little over an hour before the Ocoee High football team took the field and won its first game of the fall, there was a celebration of high-school royalty at midfield as the Knights crowned their Homecoming King and Queen.
After the members of the 2017 Homecoming Court completed their procession, Ocoee Principal Laure Beusse crowned Homecoming King Joshua Ivey. Ivey is a member of the Ocoee High Band, the National Honor Society and the school's First Priority Club.
Moments later, Ocoee alumna Laniya White crowned Chloe Rogenus as queen. Rogenus is also in the school's band, in addition to participating on the school's flag football and basketball teams, the athletic training program and peer mediation.
As usual, the Ocoee High band provided a lively soundtrack during the game and before it during the Homecoming festivities.
