It's become a new tradition at the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens to bring together book and art lovers from around the area to take part in the art-inspired Artful Book Club.

Each quarter a new book is selected that corresponds with a current art exhibit at the Museum. This quarter's book, The Yearling by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, will be paired with the exhibit Captured in Paint: Central Florida in Art.

Partnered with Winter Park's own The Writer's Block bookstore, the books for each quarter will be kept at the store to be bought by those looking to do some reading for the group.

On Nov. 13, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Capen House, Lauren Zimmerman, store proprietor at The Writer's Block, will lead a discussion on the book, which will then be followed by a gallery tour by curator Rachel Frisby.

The price to attend is $10 for the general public, while it will be $5 for members of the Museum. Those interested can register at polasek.org/exhibitevents.
