Obituary: Wendell P. Singrey Jr.

Wendell P. Singrey Jr. of Ocoee, Florida, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at the age of 76. Wendell was born June 25, 1941, in Elkhart, Indiana, and graduated from Elkhart High School in 1959. 

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patty (Manley) formerly of Elkhart, Indiana; daughters, Tracey Robinson and husband Alex of Kissimmee, Florida, Julie Singrey and fiancé Chad Christlieb of Fort Wayne, Indiana; grandchildren, Gage Andis and wife Katrina of Wahiawa, Hawaii, Wyatt, Drew and Sydney Andis of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Kiara and Kevin Robinson of Kissimmee, Florida.

Wendell was president of the West Orange Seniors of Ocoee, Florida, for more than 10 years. He enjoyed calling bingo and traveling with the group. He also sang and directed the West Orange Senior Choir.

A celebration of life luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at the Tom Ison Senior Center, 1701 Adair St., Ocoee, FL 34761. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Wendell. donatenow.heart.org.
