It was a night that started slow for the Wildcats (4-0), but saw a second half explosion on the offensive side of the ball that helped propel the home side to a 35-0 thrashing of Evans.
Outside of a lone rushing touchdown by junior running back Tyrone Davis in the second quarter, neither offense had much going for it in the first half.
The game against the Trojans (3-1) was the first since the Wildcats took on Wekiva over two weeks ago – the break was of course due to the arrival of Hurricane Irma. The rust of such a layoff was a bit obvious, as the game started off sloppy and penalty ridden, as bad snaps and a botched plays made up seemingly every drive of the half.
That was all before the Wildcats finally turned it on in the second half with a 28-point explosion behind an offense that finally began to catch on and put the game quickly out of reach.
Next up for the Wildcats is an away game against district rival Timber Creek (2-1).
