WINDERMERE – Orange County deputies are currently investigating a bank robbery that occurred Friday evening at the PNC Bank located on Conroy Windermere Road.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office was notified of the robbery just before 6 p.m. and informed a white male entered the bank and walked up to the counter claiming he wanted to make a withdrawal.

However, once the attending bank clerk obtained a withdrawal slip to hand to the suspect, the suspect gave the clerk a note that demanded money and implied he was in possession of a handgun.

After the clerk handed the male suspect money from the cash register, the suspect left and took the threatening note with him.

The alleged bank robber is described as a white male with blonde hair and of average build and height, according to an OCSO press release. The suspected bank robber was last seen wearing a blue and white plaid shirt, black-rimmed glasses, and a red and black railroad hat.

Orange County deputies request that anyone who can identify the suspect in the photographs captured from the bank's surveillance video to call the Sheriff's Office at (407) 254-7530.
