PHOTOS: West Orange softball races past East River | Observer Preps

The West Orange girls softball team scored in four out of six at-bats — including five runs in the third inning, alone — en route to a dominant 12-2 win over East River April 11.

Lexi Mosur had three RBIs to lead the Warriors (14-7), while three teammates — Lexie Blair, Brenna Wise and Lexi Scalzo — weighed in with a pair of RBIs, each.

On the mound, Landry Newgent got the start and the win, allowing five hits and two runs over four innings. As his often been the case for the Warriors this spring, sophomore Riley Fromberg closed out the final two innings and allowed no hits in doing so.
