Anterrius “Ant” Washington had quite a first season with the CFCA boys basketball team in 2017-18. He helped the Eagles reach the FHSAA Class 2A Final Four and scored a team-high 13 points in the state semifinal game. A senior this fall, Washington has also joined the CFCA football team, and he is coming off of a strong summer of travel basketball with Team M.O.A.M.
I felt like this was a place I wanted to be, because I’d have better chances to be recruited, and it’s a better school, education-wise.
I enjoyed last season very well. I think it was a success, because we went to state, and we came close.
(The regional championship against) Florida Prep. We had to beat them to advance to Lakeland.
I wanted to add football, because I wanted to get (scholarship) offers in football and basketball. It’s been fun. I’m very excited for my first season.
Golden State, of course. Kevin Durant is my favorite player. He’s long, he can get to the rim, and he has a nice touch from the three-point line.
I’d say shooting and getting to the hoop more. Shooting inside and outside.
English — I love reading.
“Romeo and Juliet.” We read the book and watched the movie as a class.
Atlantic City in New Jersey. They had this cool boardwalk where a lot of people from the city come out. They had the beach right behind it.
The last movie I saw was “Ant-Man and the Wasp.” I liked it because they call me “Ant-Man” here (at CFCA), kind of, because of my name — they call me “Ant-Man Washington.” He’s a good superhero, and I liked everything about the movie.
