OAKLAND Fifteen people gathered in the classroom at Oakland Nature Preserve Thursday, Aug. 23, for a relaxing evening spent socializing and painting. Instructor Katie Parrulli guided participants on a step-by-step journey to creating their own paintings, inspired by birds seen around the preserve. Attendees also enjoyed wine and snacks as they learned about the birds they painted.
