Obituary: Daniel Webster "Danny/DW" Harrell

Daniel Webster “Danny/DW” Harrell, 90, Winter Garden - On Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, Daniel Harrell passed away and went to be with his Lord and Savior peacefully with his loving wife next to his side.

He was born and raised in Dothan, Alabama, but lived most of his life in Florida. He loved the small town of Winter Garden where he spent the last 50 years of his life.

He was an independent business owner and always enjoyed helping others. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a family man and loved being surrounded by family and close friends.

In 1967, he married the love of his life, Vera D. Harrell.

He was a loving father to five sons and three daughters. He was preceded in death by his sons, Michael Harrell, Timothy Harrell and Bruce Harrell; daughter, Carolyn Henson; parents, Jewel Mitchel and Dennis Harrell; and grandson, Marrick Daniel Harrell.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Vera Harrell; son, Danny and Evelyn Harrell of Union, South Carolina; son, Richard Harrell of Tampa, Florida; daughter, Patricia Anderson of Ocoee, Florida; daughter, Sherry and Denver Music of Ocoee, Florida; 13 grandchildren, Jim, Lauren, Angela, Eric, Leslie, Hayven, Logan, Kayla, Kristy, Crystal, Bree, Danny and John; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services to be held at the Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018. The family viewing is from 11 a.m. to noon, the public viewing is from noon to 1:30 p.m., and the service is at 1:30 p.m., with interment to follow at the Winter Garden Cemetery.
